new years.

yesterday we went to the SIP building to pick up the class schedules which are finally done. i have heard that courses start on january 3, but on the class schedule, it says january 15. it is very difficult to come up with a schedule because many of the classes overlap between disciplines. this is because it is rare that students take courses outside of one discipline. this is going to be fun.

after we did our obligatory tasks having to do with school, we went to the famous market of shilparamam

we all tried to work on our bartering skills but many of us got ripped off anyway

my first squat toilet.

there was even a little parade at the market.

henna!

cute children.

hypercity liquor store. white mischief?

when we returned from the mall, we ate dinner and then began conspiring. we ended with plans to go to a nearby lake on campus and build a fire. there were fifteen of us that went by one car and three motorcycles. the middle eastern students brought their hookah and anders and i brought our mp3 players and speakers. it was a great way to celebrate the new year.

megan and jarett

sara, mister sun, anders

sumita, me, and megan.

happy new year. i am hoping to actually get to my laundry today. that will be a good way to start off the year.
